Christmas Shopping @ The Museum Shop

15 December 2016

Christmas shopping always becomes a rush as the looming event that requires more organisation than we can cope with becomes a mix of catching up with friends, rellies and colleagues as well as time consuming negotiating of the Malls, carparks and other frantic shoppers.

It was made easier this year with a kind of value adding to a late night opening of the superb Museum Shop at the National Museum of Australia, with a bar, food, fashion parade and styling tips from the effervescent and stylish duo of Trish Murray and Melinda Kibukamusoke presenting a fashion collection of goodies to try and buy with our favourite DJ  ‘Jungle Jerry’ mixing up the tunes.

Relax, enjoy and leisurely meander the shop was the easiest way to tick off the list of have to buys with plenty of opportunity to find those extras for your own stocking.

And while this shop is best known for its extensive range of goodies for the international visitor the range of leather bags, jewellery, body products, books, scarves, cushions and home decor items to satisfy the most discerning shopper was what made the night a one stop mini department store without the pressure.
