DESIGN Canberra 2015 Launch

19 November 2015

Our Canberra identity is inextricably linked with world class design. The city itself of course is a design winner and today the many and varied aspects of creativity, design disciplines, education facilities and practicing artists, enhance the new perception of Canberra as a centre for design and creativity and a 21st century dynamism rather than the last century label of being dull, colourless and boring.

The DESIGN Canberra initiative, launched at the National Portrait Gallery, is an eight days festival that includes two weekends from 21-29 November to showcase the innovative and exceptional, to raise the profile and reputation of the city as a design hub and hopefully establish this festival on a wider international calendar.
